A volunteer-run initiative, helping keep our front liners safe!!

The COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented demand for fabric face masks and other fabric PPE, to help protect our front line workers providing health care and other essential services, who are putting themselves at risk for all of us. 

 

Masks Unlimited is an entirely volunteer-run initiative - sewing and donating fabric face masks, headbands, scrub caps, and isolation gowns to those who need them the most in the National Capital Region. So far we have donated 8000+ fabric face masks to hospitals, retirement homes, grocery stores, other front line workers, and people who are rendered more vulnerable in this unfortunate situation. 

 

Our team is working towards the goal of providing reusable fabric masks while ensuring that the entire supply-chain runs with zero human to human contact.

 

Our homemade products are not medical grade and organizations and individuals receiving them need to determine how best to use them. All our masks come with a pocket to insert additional filters, if the users feel the need to do so. 

 

We recommend that all homemade personal protective equipment be washed with soap and hot water before first use as well as after each use, particularly, if used outside the user’s residence.
